About Me
I was born and raised in the beautiful and rugged state of Alaska. Growing up in Alaska was a challenge and a privilege. Its harsh living conditions, long winters, and majestic beauty instilled strength, independence, gratitude, and a desire for adventure.
At a young age, I discovered a passion to seek new experiences, see the world, and meet new people. This led me to my first adventure at age 19 when I moved to Hawaii, a state I had never visited before, to attend the University of Hawaii Manoa. After obtaining my BA in Psychology, I decided to set across the world to travel and explore countries across Southeast Asia, Central America, and South America. The experience changed my worldview and allowed me to gain insight into my own life’s purpose. I had recognized a strong desire to help people and had an ability to build rapport and trust with others rather quickly. It was at this crossroad in my life that I harnessed my calling and decided to pursue a career in Mental Health and obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University.
